Erected by Hamilton Oliver in memory of his father John Oliver of Bangor, who departed this life January 1st 1847 aged 69 years. Also of his mother Mary Oliver, who departed this life Decr. 8th 1849 aged 69 years. Also his wife Jane Oliver, who departed this life February 3rd 1857 aged 52 years. Also his daughter Jane Oliver who departed this life July 1st 1860 aged 17 years. Also his son Hamilton Oliver, who was drowned off the Cape of Good Hope, on the 3rd of  May 1861 aged 26 years. Also the above
named named Captain Hamilton Oliver, who departed this life on the 13th April 1873 aged 69 years. James Oliver, born 4th Nov 1839, died 2nd April 1896 at Philadelphia, Penna, USA.
